Castelnuovo-mumford Regularity in Biprojective Spaces
We define the concept of regularity for bigraded modules over a bigraded polynomial ring. In this setting we prove analogs of some of the classical results on m-regularity for graded modules over polynomial algebras.
متن کاملEquations of parametric surfaces with base points via syzygies
Suppose S is a parametrized surface in complex projective 3-space P given as the image of φ : P ×P1 → P. The implicitization problem is to compute an implicit equation F = 0 of S using the parametrization φ. An algorithm using syzygies exists for computing F if φ has no base points, i.e. φ is everywhere defined. This work is an extension of this algorithm to the case of a surface with multiple ...
متن کاملCyclic Cohomology of Certain Nuclear Fréchet and Df Algebras
We give explicit formulae for the continuous Hochschild and cyclic homology and cohomology of certain ⊗̂-algebras. We use well-developed homological techniques together with some niceties of the theory of locally convex spaces to generalize the results known in the case of Banach algebras and their inverse limits to wider classes of topological algebras. To this end we show that, for a continuou...
متن کاملArens regularity of bilinear forms and unital Banach module spaces
Assume that $A$, $B$ are Banach algebras and that $m:Atimes Brightarrow B$, $m^prime:Atimes Arightarrow B$ are bounded bilinear mappings. We study the relationships between Arens regularity of $m$, $m^prime$ and the Banach algebras $A$, $B$. For a Banach $A$-bimodule $B$, we show that $B$ factors with respect to $A$ if and only if $B^{**}$ is unital as an $A^{**}$-module. Le...
متن کاملSaturation spaces for regularization methods in inverse problems
The aim of this article is to characterize the saturation spaces that appear in inverse problems. Such spaces are defined for a regularization method and the rate of convergence of the estimation part of the inverse problem depends on their definition. Here we prove that it is possible to define these spaces as regularity spaces, independent of the choice of the approximation method. Moreover, ...
